Dr. Osman İLHAN - Hämatologe
Prof. Dr. Osman İLHAN schloss 1978 sein Studium an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Ankara ab. Nach Abschluss seiner Facharztausbildung in Innerer Medizin an derselben Fakultät im Jahr 1982 arbeitete er während seines Militärdienstes als Oberarzt an der Hämatologie-Klinik von GATA. Nach Beendigung seines Pflichtdienstes am SSK Ulus-Krankenhaus kehrte er für eine Spezialisierung an die medizinische Fakultät der Universität Ankara zurück. 1990 wurde er außerordentlicher Professor für Hämatologie. Er arbeitete in Genua, Italien, um sein Wissen und seine Erfahrung im Bereich Leukämie zu erweitern. Er war Teil des Teams, das die erste Knochenmarkstammzelltransplantation in der Türkei durchführte. 1996 ging er an das MD Anderson Cancer Center in den USA, um an der „Mobilisierung, Kryokonservierung und Transplantation von Stammzellen“ zu arbeiten. 1996 wurde er Professor für Hämatologie. 1999 wurde er zum Regionalpräsidenten der ESFH (European Society for Hemapheresis) gewählt. Dr. İlhan, Gründer und Präsident der Hämatologie-Gesellschaft im Jahr 2000, trat 2001 der Weltapherese-Vereinigung (WAA) bei. Im Oktober 2001 wurde er Präsident der Türkischen Hämatologie-Vereinigung. Dr. İlhan ist aktives Mitglied der Europäischen Hämatologie-Vereinigung (EHA) und Mitglied des Akkreditierungsausschusses für Ausbildung (ECAH). Er beteiligte sich an der Akkreditierung türkischer Hämatologen im Rahmen der CME-Zertifizierung, indem er sich als Leistungserbringer an der Akkreditierung von Kongressen und Kursen in der Türkei beteiligte. Er war Gründungspräsident der 2008 gegründeten Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Association. 2011 wurde er Gründungspräsident der Geriatric Hematology Association. Er ist Ehrenpräsident des World Apheresis Congress (WAA) im Jahr 2012. Dr. İlhan, der zuvor Mitglied in Arzneimittelzulassungs- und Ethikkommissionen des Gesundheitsministeriums war, war auch Vorsitzender der Photopherese-Apherese-Kommission und des Wissenschaftlichen Ausschusses für Knochenmarktransplantation sowie Vorsitzender des National Organ Tissue Cell Coordination Board, des Wissenschaftlichen Ausschusses für Nabelschnurblut und des Ausschusses für Stammzellenforschung. Er ist Gründungspräsident der STEM CELL FOUNDATION und spielte eine wichtige Rolle bei der Gründung von TURKOK (Türkische Stammzellspenderbank). Dr. İlhan hat über 300 Veröffentlichungen in bei PubMed registrierten Zeitschriften und mehr als 5.000 Zitierungen. Er ist Inhaber des Platin-CME-Zertifikats der European Hematology Association. Er ist Inhaber von vier Marken/Patenten: „Kökten Çözüm (Tiefenlösung), Telehematoloji (Telehämatologie), Hemaferez (Hämapherese) und Kanser Kök Hücresi (Krebsstammzellen). Er ist Präsident der Ankara Medical Association. Prof. Dr. Osman İlhan, der 50 Jahre lang an der medizinischen Fakultät der Universität Ankara tätig war, arbeitet seit dem 1. Januar 2023 im Özel Koru Ankara Krankenhaus.

Ausbildung
He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1978. After earning his specialization in internal diseases at the same Faculty in 1982, he did his military service as a chief assistant at GATA Hematology Clinic. After his compulsory service duty was given at SSK Ulus Hospital, he returned to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine for minor specialization.
He became associate professor of hematology in 1990. He worked in Genoa, Italy to increase his knowledge and experience on leukemia. He took part in the first blood stem cell transplant team in Turkey.
He went to the USA in 1996 and got M.D. At the Anderson Cancer Center, Prof. Dr. Martin Korbling and Prof.
He became a professor of hematology in 1996.
In 1999, he was elected regional president of the ESFH (European Society for Hemapheresis).
Hemapheresis Association Founding President in 2000, Dr. İlhan entered the management of the World Apheresis Association (WAA) in 2001. Again in October 2001, he became the President of the Turkish Hematology Association. Active in the European Union of Hematology (EHA), Dr. İlhan made a board of education within the body of ECAH (European Hematology Accreditation Committee). As Provider Status, he took part in the accreditation of the congress and course held in Turkey and paved the way for Turkish hematologists in CME credits.
He served as the founding president of the Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Association, which was founded in 2008.
In 2011, he became the founding president of the Geriatric Hematology Society.
He is the 'Honorary President' of the World Apheresis Congress (WAA) held in 2012. Having previously served on drug licensing and ethics committees at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ilhan; He served as the Chairman of the Photopheresis-Apheresis Commission and the Chairman of the Bone Marrow Transplant Scientific Committee, as well as the Chairman of the National Organ Tissue Cell Coordination Committee, the Cord Blood Scientific Committee and the Stem Cell Research Committee.
He is the founding chairman of the KÖK CELL FOUNDATION.
He played an important role in the establishment of TURKOK (Turkish Stem Cell Donor Bank). With more than 300 publications in Pub-Med registered journals, Dr. Ilhan's; It has over 5000 citations and a H Factor of 34, 1050 EHA-CME credits. It has the Platinum CME certificate of the European Hematology Association.
